The Plant Community Ecology Group is concerned with studying the
composition and diversity of plant communities in relation to ecological
factors and disturbance, on various temporal and spatial scales,
with observations and field studies or studies in controlled environments.
The techniques used range from analysis of floristic data, sampling
by various methods and on different scales, manipulation of factors
determining diversity and reproduction of plant communities under
control conditions. Special attention is paid to sampling, data
reproducibility, spatial and temporal representativity and sources
of error.
