Workshop
The fundamental objectives of the Workshop are to spread knowledge
of the classical world and teach the necessary skills for its study,
both at the secondary and tertiary levels of education. To do so, the
Workshop has recruited the help of numerous specialists – scholars and
researchers already working within the interdepartmental Center for
Anthropology of the Ancient World who provide their expertise and
effort for the creation and publication of indispensible teaching aids.
These include, for example, the four volumes of Limina: Letteratura e
antropologia di Roma antica (Casa Editrice de La Nuova Italia, 2005)
and the two (multimedia) volumes of Sulle spalle dei giganti (Paravia
Bruno Mondadori), both intended for use in high schools. The group is
coordinated by Professor Donatella Puliga, who has broad and deep
pedagogical experience both at the high school and university level (as
a member of the faculty of Literature and Philosophy at the University
of Siena) and, more recently, from her participation in collaborative
programs organized by the Italian Ministry of Public Education
(Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione).
