Palomar is a quarterly bulletin of Constitutional law, written and edited within the doctoral program in Comparative Public law organized by the University of Siena, School of Economics.
Palomar was originally developed out of the awareness of the difficulties scholars face in researching and accessing information on worldwide relevant constitutional acts and facts, due to lack of sources or, at the opposite, to the overwhelming and unorganized amount of data available on the internet.
Since its inception, Palomar’s main purpose has been therefore to provide, through an ongoing monitoring activity of the main institutional websites available, a general survey – without any claim of completeness or homogeneity – of the latest worldwide constitutional developments deemed of interest to Italian and international scholars.
All information are provided concisely. When available, hyperlinks to direct sources are also provided, in order to grant access to further information and materials.
Since 2008, a new English-written section has been added, addressing the latest Italian constitutional developments, and edited by Gianluca Gentili (since 2013 with Tania Abbiate).
The editorial staff, over time, has been composed by Tania Abbiate, Luis Amezcua, Gabriella Angiulli, Chiara Barbera, Carla Bassu, Cristina Bertolino, Oya Boyar, María Amparo Calabuig Puig, Giuseppe Campanelli, Francesco Campodonico, Valentina Cardinale, Karla Lorena Castillo Rodríguez, Eleonora Ceccherini, Marta Cerroni, Elisa Ciardelli, Ernani Contipelli, Benedetta Cuomo, Anaïs Dechambre, Eleonora Di Benedetto, Maria Dicosola, Cristina Fasone, Raffaele Festa, Stefania Fornaro, Massimo Fragassi, Francesco Gallarati, Piero Gambale, Gianluca Gentili, Giampaolo Gerbasi, Giorgio Giuliano, Tania Groppi, Adolphe Hatungimana, Renato Ibrido, Anna Maria Lecis Cocco-Ortu, Elena Libone, Donatella Loprieno, Giacomo Mannocci, Luca Marfoli, Pamela Martino, Chiara Meoli, Giammaria Milani, Michele Mistò, Eros Organni, Marco Orofino, Cristina Ottonello, Luca Palatucci, Caterina Panzarino, Giuseppe Passaniti, Emanuele Pedilarco, Sara Pennicino, Andrea Perelli, Pier Luigi Petrillo, Arianna Pitino, Floriana Plataroti, Francesca Rosa, Francesco Saitto, Francisco Sanjuán Andrés, Francesco Santolini, Agostino Sarandrea, Nicoletta Scattone, Angela Maria Rosa Scerbo, Valentina Rita Scotti, Diego Serra, Ilenia Siccardi, Serena Sileoni, Marco Antonio Simonelli, Elena Sorda, Irene Spigno, Ester Stefanelli, Maja Stojanovic, Valentina Tamburrini, Giuseppe Telese, Dario Elia Tosi, Rosario Tur Ausina and Nicola Vizioli, who acts as Editor-in-Chief and takes care of Palomar’s graphics and layout.
